VeTeSS – Verification and Testing to Support Functional Safety StandardsThe VeTeSS project will develop standardised tools and methods to verify the safety of automotive embedded systems. By providing objective data for safety qualification and certification, reliance on manual processes and expert opinion will be reduced as will development costs and time to market, even with the increasing complexity of embedded systems and software.
The VeTeSS consortium consists of 24 organizations from eight member states. This includes:
• Seven large enterprises, forming the core automotive supply chain team;
• Eight SMEs, bringing a tools and technology supply perspective; and
• Academic and research institutions, all with highly relevant research experience.
We are leading the work package on software component verification and test, and contributes with expertise on fault injection, ISO 26262 and the concept of Safety-Element-out-of-Context.
The project is funded by the ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking and Vinnova.
