Hydraulic fluids
SP Fire Technology has traditionally conducted research in this area which has resulted both in a Nortest test method (NT Fire 031) and several SP reports. NT FIRE 031 is based on spray tests and hydraulic fluids as well as any other type of fluid can be examined. The fluids Heat Release (Q) and Heat of Combustion (DHC) are measured and the Burning Efficiency Factor (F) is calculated.
SP Fire Technology conducts tests according to both Nordic standards and relevant ISO and CEN standards.
