Photometry and radiometry

We perform calibrations, measurements and assessments in the optical wavelength range, i.e. ultra-violet, visible and infrared. Our methods are based on international standards where these exist, complemented by our own thoroughly documented methods where no alternatives are available.
Photometry

Photometry covers the measurement of light, based on how the human eye experiences luminous intensity.  Measurement therefore include a weighting factor that represents a model of the eye's response.

We calibrate photometry equipment and associated standards, such as spectrophotometers, colorimeters and CCSII ceramic plates.  Quantities measured include luminous flux, illuminance and luminous intensity.

Radiometry

Radiometry covers the measurements of electromagnetic radiation, such as light.  We perform radiometric measurements in wavelengths from UV to infra-red, and calibrate equipment such as spectroradiometers, light sources, wavelength meters and detectors, both devices for free-space optics as well as connected through fibres.  Quantities measured include radiant energy, radiance and intensity.
