Blasting equipment
Blasting equipment are used e.g in mines and in connection with constructions and the products must be both safe and reliable.
CE-marking
SP is a notified body under directive 93/15/EEC Explosives for civil uses and can and can issue certificates (e.g. EC type certificate and decision regarding production quality assurance) necessary documents for putting detonators, relays and initiation systems on the common market (EU/EES), regardless which modules the manufacturer chooses.
SP performs testing, examination and certification for the following products:
- Detonators with shock tube (signal conductor)
- Electric detonators
- Electronic initiation system which includes detonators with electronic delay
- Plain detonators
- Special product e.g. stone crackers, transport safety boxes
Testing for national Swedish approval
SP performs testing and examination of the following products:
- Blasting machines
- Measuring apparatus
- Initiation cables
- Extension wires
Approval for products without a previous Swedish national approval is given by the Swedish Work Environment Authority.
Testing and evaluation can also be carried out when no particular approval is necessary for the products.
