On-site calibrations

Measurement equipment for high currents and voltages is often both large and heavy and cannot be readily transported for calibration. Because of this we have developed world-unique expertise and resources for field measurements, at customer’s premises or in high-voltage installations such as switchyards etc anywhere in the world. We use our references to calibrate the customer’s measuring systems at a reduce voltage followed by linearity investigations following the prescriptions of IEC 60060-2 for voltage and IEC 62475 for current.

AC voltage

Voltage measurement for both peak responding, rms responding and average responding measuring systems up to250 kV direct and up to 2000 kV indirect calibration
Analysis of frequency response
Measurement of ac voltage from generators up to 250 kV, 0.1 Hz to 300 Hz
Calibration of voltage transformers up to 400 kV system voltage

DC voltage

Voltage measurement up to 1200 kV (1000 kV with full accuracy)
Separate investigation of linearity above 1200 kV

Impulse voltage

Calibration of lightning impulse reference measuring systems up to 800 kV
Calibration of switching impulse reference measuring systems up to 280 kV
Investigation of linearity using impulse generator charging voltage as basis

Partial discharge calibration

Calibration of partial discharge calibrators

High voltage capacitance

Calibration of high voltage capacitance at power frequency and up to 250 kV

AC current

Power frequency AC current measuring systems up to 4200 A
Current transformer ratio error and phase displacement up to 4200 primary current and any convenient secondary current
Current transformer burdens

DC current

DC current measuring systems up to 6000 A
Current transformers for DC up to 6000 A
