Access to environmentally friendly products, their effects on the environment and recycling matters are playing an increasing role. Through a unique combination of skills from materials engineering, chemistry and microbiology, supplemented with all SP's technical resources, Biolab is a base for internationally competitive research and technology assessment.
We conduct research primarily in the development of new environmentally friendly materials, recycling and development of new testing methods. We solve various problems, often in cooperation with other parts of SP, and develop new testing programs, customized to highlight current issues.
Tests and Evaluation
We also conduct custom-designed and standardized tests and technical evaluations, including quality control and third-party certification of materials and products which after their use shall be disposed of in an environmentally gentle way.
