Antimicrobial function
Growing amounts of materials and products are nowadays produced to be antimicrobial in some way. For example, surfaces can be treated with some antimicrobial substance or can react in combination with UV light. It can also be products supplied with UV lamps for water treatment or products intended to treat already contaminated surfaces to prevent growth, for example products against mould or algae on painted surfaces and disinfection solutions for the hospital environment.
Tests commonly asked for are performed according to the following standards:
