OVK inspectors
OVK stands for Obligatory Performance Inspection of Ventilation Systems. Since 1992, many property-owners and householders are required to have their buildings' ventilation systems inspected at intervals, and to an extent, as specified by the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning.
These regulations were introduced in order to tackle the problems of steadily deteriorating indoor environmental conditions in many properties: problems that could often be cured by improving ventilation performance. The inspections must be carried out by an approved inspector. SP SITAC is accredited for certification of individuals as authorised national ventilation inspectors.
