Recording on paper

One of our specialties is evaluation of recording on paper. Testing of properties of importance for the permanence of the recording have been performed at SP since the beginning of the twentieth century. When new recording techniques have been introduced on the market, the testing methods have been modified in order to evaluate new properties.
Copying machines and printers

The permanence and durability of paper documents prepared in copying machines, laser printers and other types of printers are evaluated in accordance with the Swedish National Archives Regulations RA-FS 2012:8 refering to ISO 11798.

Copying machines, printers and toner cassettes may be certified in accordance with The Swedish National Archives Regulations, see link to the right "Certification of archival materials". SP is the only Swedish accredited certification body.
