Carbon emission credits

The EU commission has established trade using carbon emission credits, to reduce carbon dioxide releases in Europe. Carbon emission credits are seen as being an important tool in achieving the Union’s undertaking to reduce carbon dioxide releases in accordance with the Kyoto agreement. Companies that are allocated carbon emission credits are required to report their releases.
