||4 specimens in each material direction with dimensions 75 mm x 305 mm and maximum thickness 3 mm (13 mm for foam parts)|
The test takes place in a specified test chamber in which the specimen is mounted vertically. The center of the bottom edge of the specimen is exposed to a gas flame for 12 or 60 seconds depending on the type of product. The following is recorded, flame time, burn length and flaming time of drippings from the material.
The method is identical to the JAR 25.853.
