Testing and evaluation of hopper weighing instruments
SP tests, certifies, verifies and calibrates all types of hopper weighing instruments (Discontinuous Totalising Automatic Weighing Instruments), which can be new or modifications of existing weighing instruments. Testing and evaluation of industrial weighing instruments
We test, certify, verify and calibrate all types of industrial weighing instruments, whether new or modified existing weighing instruments.
An industrial weighing instrument is a non-automatic device, used for the static weighing of goods and materials. Such devices can be in the form of bench scales, platform instruments, pallet instruments, fork lift trucks incorporating weighing instruments, crane weighing instruments, vehicle instruments, counting and recording weighing instruments etc.
Testing in accordance with EN 45501
SP performs tests in accordance with European Standard EN 45501 and the international recommendation OIML R 76, and issues European and international certificates for all types of non-automatic weighing instruments.
Certificates and/or type approvals from SP for automatic weighing instruments are recognised throughout Europe and the rest of the world.
Open approval for weighing instruments with weight indicators
It is also possible for a weighing instruments manufacturer to obtain what is known as ‘open approval’ for weighing instruments consisting of a weight display and approved load cells in certain types of load carriers.
