Today, SP Certification is one of the leading certification bodies in Sweden, with long experience of this work. We issue certificates of compliance with a large number of standards. SP's own quality approval symbol, the P-symbol, is unique, and issued only by us.
Our work covers both organic and inorganic analytical chemistry, as well as a wide spectrum of areas concerned with materials technology. Working areas cover the entire life cycle of materials, often in conjunction with other departments within SP.
SP Electronics is concerned with electronics for safety, reliability and use in demanding environments. We carry out research into electromagnetics, reliable systems and environmental durability, in addition to performing technical evaluations of products and systems. Our clients include industry and research bodies in Sweden and elsewhere.
We perform research and technical development in the fields of combustion technology, acoustics, building services systems, energy use in buildings and the indoor environment.
We offer a wide range of services for evaluation of the performance of materials and products when exposed to fire, or in respect of their fire risk. We also carry out very extensive research and development work for industry and for other research organisations, both in Sweden and in other countries, often in conjunction with universities and institutes of technology.
SP's measurement technology activities are gathered here. We are also a national metrology centre, and are among the world leaders in traceable methods of measurement. Supported by the scientific expertise of SP's other departments, we solve measurement problems together with, and often at the premises of, our clients.
We provide measurement services for industry and trade, with calibration and verification of various measuring instruments forming the basis of our wide range of services. Our specialised staff are stationed throughout the country, from Luleå in the north to Malmö in the south.
