DC and LF metrology
The Swedish National Laboratory for electrical quantities, situated in SP's department for Measurement Technology, is responsible for the national standards for voltage, current, resistance, capacitance and inductance, as well as for power and energy.
As a result of constant research and development, we can offer calibration of the highest international class in several areas.
We perform calibration of measurement instruments and calibrators concerning voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, inductance, voltage dividers and transformers.
The work is performed in a number of specially equipped laboratories. For the more sensitive measurements, we employ a large screened room, with high temperature stability and where the mains power supply is backed up by an UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). A special low temperature laboratory has been equipped for measurements close to absolute zero, while high-voltage measurements are carried out in a high-voltage bay.
