We are active in research and testing of products, mechanical and fire properties, burglary protection, product longevity, fire design, testing and design of extinguishing systems, etc. We provide aid in the development of legislation, both national and within the EU. We certify products and support the CE mark in several areas. We run multiple knowledge centers, for example in computing, fuel storage safety, shipping/offshore and underground constructions. Our activities are global and we are world leading in many areas. Together with our subsidiary RISE Fire Research AS in Trondheim, we have large experimental facilities and our fire research is leading in Europe.
