FoodSP offer specialised knowledge and R&D resources to assist the competitiveness of client companies. We solve industrial technical problems and help to develop new processes and products. We also offer a very wide range of training courses, both generic and custom.
Structure and materials design, microbiology, product safety, biotechnology, applied surface and colloidal chemistry, formulation, controlled release, sensory science and aroma, process technology and environmental technology are examples of areas in which we develop technology, perform research and provide training.
Our clients come from many sectors – food, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, industrial chemicals, domestic products, the engineering industry, pulp and paper, surface treatment, ceramics, paints and printing. Many of them are international leaders in their sectors, with world-wide presence. In parallel with them, we provide services for many small and medium-sized companies in Scandinavia and the Nordic countries.
SP has a special development centre, with equipment for small-scale experimental food production. This is a unique resource, particularly for smaller companies.
We participate in a large number of research projects in conjunction with other research institutes, universities and companies throughout the world. This keeps us in close contact with the latest results, to the ultimate benefit of all our clients.
